New York is getting hippier by the minute. From Tom Ford to Diane Von Fustenberg opening new flagship stores, New York is proclaiming the throne as the fashion capital of the world. A few months ago it was Tom; now is the turn for Diane. She recently open a 2,100-square-foot cheerful store in the Meatpacking District. With a lot of appreciation for colors the lady, whose taste for the art of fashion has led her to be a part of the breathtaking Swarovski chandelier, Von Fustenberg caused a fashion media frenzy. While Diane enjoys the opening of her amusing store, the self-proclaimed Italian King of fashion that is in every single stratus of fashion - and who I despise -, Giorgio Armani, announced the opening of a massive new flagship store in the very same city. The multi-faceted shopping experience is supposed to provide a one of a kind shopping experience; something reassembling the same feeling Armani/Via Manzoni in Milan provokes to the Armani shopper. Next stop is Gucci; the fashion house is set to open a similar flagship store in what used to be the first floor of one of the infamous real-state gurus Donald Trump; a refined concept, that with illuminate those seeking to dress in style.
