Doors have opened at bookshops around the country as eager Harry Potter fans rush to get their hands on the seventh and final episode of the boy wizard saga, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.
Thousands of young readers queued outside bookstores in Australia and around the world for the book that will reveal Harry's fate after months of fevered speculation.
Dymocks bookstore in George Street, Sydney was bombarded as it opened this morning, having received more than 5,000 pre-orders for the final chapter of the boy wizard's magical adventures.
Author JK Rowling says Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, is her favourite and she can't wait to share the book's secrets with fans.
