Citroen Retail Group is about to open its largest-ever dealership at Herald Avenue in Coventry Business Park.
The two-storey Citroen Coventry sits on a 2.8-acre site and has a ten-car showroom, an outdoor display of a further 100 cars, 12 service/repair bays and a dedicated new vehicle preparation centre. The three-day launch event starts starts this Friday (April 20).

This new business brings the number of Citroen Retail Group dealerships in major UK cities to seven. There are already two in London, two in Manchester and one each in Birmingham and Glasgow.

Franchised dealerships frequently struggle with the high set-up and running costs that are associated with operating in major urban areas. It is likely that this trend, along with assuming full control in major commercial centres, is behind Citroen’s decision to open the new dealership.

Xavier Duchemin, Citroen UK’s managing director, said: “Citroen Coventry is another key development in the company’s UK expansion programme. This flagship dealership is located in one of the country’s major conurbations, providing massive potential for increasing Citroen retail and fleet sales in the area.”

The Citroen Retail Group now employs almost 400 people, and sells almost 20,000 new and used vehicles a year, providing an annual turnover of £250 million. The site will be Citroen’s largest-ever dealership in the UK.
