Super Paper Mario a No.1-selling product at online retail

Nintendo Co.'s Super Paper Mario for Wii is a top-seller at online retail this week.The game, which debuted Tues., is the first Mario game for the motion-sensing platform. Super Paper Mario is currently the No. 1-selling product at Amazon.com's Computer & Video Games division, outperforming Guitar Hero II for Xbox 360 and Pokemon Diamond for the Nintendo DS. The game is also listed as a top-seller on video game specialty website EBgames.com. Super Paper Mario is the latest installment in the Paper Mario franchise. The Wii version allow users to move between 2D and 3D gameplay and utilizes motion-sensitive controls with the Wii Remote. Wii has been a breakout success at worldwide retail, attracting users who not normally play video games. Its audience ranges from core video game players who enjoy key franchise titles to seniors who play casually at retirement homes.
